After School Activities
The following is a brief overview of some of the many after school activities available to our students during the school week. A timetable can be found at the bottom of the page.
Spanish is taught on Mondays by Esther who is a native Spanish speaker. Children enjoy learning Spanish through games and fun activities.
French is taught to the children by Aline who is a native French speaker. Aline ensures that the children learn through immersive play and active learning. The children can be found playing games and playing through French during her classes.
Gerry tutors guitar to students on Thursdays in Damien's room. This class caters for all levels and teaches children to learn the basics from posture, chords and to learning festive songs throughout the year.
Janet teaches Yoga on Wednesdays .Yoga is taught to children on Wednesdays in Helens room. Children enjoy the benifits of yoga which include increased focus, relaxtion and well being.
Helen and John teach religion after school on Mondays to children who wish to receive the sacraments of the Eucharist and the sacrament of Confirmation. Each year children from Claregalway Educate Together join the local schools in this celebration.
Damien teaches tin whistle after school on Tuesdays. Beginners tin whistle was taught this year after school. Moving forward, we will cater for advanced and beginners as the standard of the students improves.
